Under the microscope

Week One

Underneath the Microscope

It took me a while to become comfortable with the microscope in the lab. The eyepieces are best for close-set eyes, and my eyes are a little further apart. I am curious to find a microscope that reduces the strain on my eyes since I can't wear glasses while viewing.

I first viewed my hair. I wear extensions made of plastic, so they looked intensely not-human under the scope.

My Skin

I next looked at the skin right below my middle finger nail. The lines and polygons reminded me of Voroni cells.

My Box

My last item was a 3D printed box. I was struck by the lattice.

First Schematic

It took me a while to decide on a circuit. I was interested in replicating some of the circuits found on the School for Poetic Computation blog, but I didn't myself enough time to research the circuit and ask the artist for more info. Inspiration struck near the deadline: I chose Maddy Varner's Decide-O-Matic.
